• Question: What is the possibility of mushroom mycellium culture being contaminated with mycobacterium? Or has anyone observed fungus growth on mycobacterium culture? Can mycobacterium infect mycellium.

      Interesting question, mate!

Yes, mushroom and other fungal cultures can definitely have mycobacterium contamination.

BUT this only means that the mycobacterium interferes in the mushroom’s growth by eating up the same nutrients that the mushroom tries to eat.. mycobacterium cannot and do not infect the mushrooms.
