• Question: what do you like to do for fun when you have free time?

      I play Dungeons & Dragons! We have a group that meets at my house every week, and it’s always loads of fun. My fiancée and I also play a lot of board games: we own about 100 different games between us, although I’ve not played all of them yet! I also enjoy reading, climbing, cross stitch & computer games.

      My spouse and I play quite a bit of Minecraft, almost exclusively on the creative mode side. I’ve probably only spent a couple of hours playing in survival mode.

      Beyond that, we also enjoy watching low-budget and independent films. Having written that, it sounds like we’re into art-house films, which is completely inaccurate. Those tend to get turned off pretty quickly (and there’s one that’s been sitting in our queue for over a month that we’re still procrastinating on watching because, well, we don’t like those types of movies). Instead, I like how watching a film with problems can make you appreciate the parts that works. The way that good acting can distract from poor special effects. Or seeing three movies with awful sound editing makes you appreciate the one that does it right, even if the lighting was terrible. Or just seeing how many ways a film can go wrong that makes one see how much effort goes in to making one work.

      I like to read MANGA (Japanese comics) or watch shows before I go to bed. Over the weekends, I usually play the piano or write a song. Sometimes, I go out for a game of squash with my labmates after work.

      I like to go for hikes! I live in Scotland and there are so many beautiful spots to go walking here! I also do some photography and take pictures of the places I travel too.

      In summer months I go scuba diving – mostly in the North sea. Even in Summer it can be quite cold, but there is loads of wildlife that we can see in the water which is amazing!

      I play a lot of rugby and watch it too 🏉 I go snowboarding as much as I can – it was a lot easier when i lived in the mountains🏂! I also climb 🧗‍♀️ I go out with my friends a lot for – dinner and brunch (LOVE breakfast food) 🥐🍳☕. I play cards like poker and shanghai 🃏 and do some sewing every now and again 🌞

      Strangely enough I do not play computer games or watch TV (we do not have one in the house).
      We watch the odd film usually European art cinema, the odd dinner now and then.
      tinker with internet of things stuff, we have a small club. Some gardening if the weather permits we like to grow herbs and other crazy things in the garden.
