Great question! I would start by doing some research into what a chemist is and what they do on a daily basis. Then get in contact with local labs (and maybe pharmacies) and ask them if they have any work experience or if you could shadow one of their chemists – send an email telling them why you want to learn more and what you want to get out of it! There is no harm in asking 🙂 Then take a look at which subjects universities want you to have to study chemistry and ask your teachers how you can get there! Also, have a search for apprenticeships – you can work and study at the same time 🙂 Best of luck with it! I’m sure you’ll do wonderfully 🙂
