It depends on my project. During my masters, my project involved studying just one protein.
But in my PhD, I am focussed on how a collection of 3 proteins interact with each other to form a contraption. Some people I know work on a “protein complex”, which ia s group of 5 or more proteins interacting with each other.

Oh, if you’re asking me how many little protein particles I see under the microscope everyday.. then I see around 1800-2000 per day on average.
